Rack-A-Bye Baby (Part Deux)

I know that it has been awhile since you last heard from me. Nope, I did not stop creating (or upcycling!) lovely things. However, I must admit that my creative mind became blocked. I suddenly became a little bit feeling “bland” with almost everything. Work suddenly was stressful and to top it all, Spring has sprung. Which is supposedly a good season, but due to my allergies I again battled with asthma and the likes.

Enough about my drama.

If you can remember, a few months ago I have painted a MAGAZINE RACK. I liked it but I guess it was of no use to my crib for two reasons. First, I have bookcases where I can put my magazines. Second, it has no place in my crampy apartment. So I decided to just repaint it and sell it.

This is the previous photo of my Magazine Rack:

It was painted with Annie Sloan’s Old White + Henrietta

I decided to paint it with Annie Sloan’s Duck Egg Blue for a more subtle and cohesive feel.

All of a sudden everything makes sense. Like this color should be the right fit for this rack. It’s like an A-Ha moment.

Which reminds me, last month while I was trying (trying, as the operative word) to clean up the mess in our living room, Sugar (my Sister) and I had an A-Ha moment. It was like the beginning of a journey so creative and exciting. We are working on something BIG. Or at least for us, it’s big. I will have to disclose in 2 months but for now I am pleased to inform you that I am back.

My creative mind has been awaken.

Jolted.

I am so BACK.
