{Revamp} Dining Table

One of the things I need to finish this year is probably to empty my storage unit. Yes, I actually have a storage unit! That’s how much of a hoarder I am. There are gazillion things I need to get rid of and by get rid of I mean, upcycle and sell.

Here’s one:

small dining table

I bought this cutesy from a lady somewhere in East Providence. While I was picking this Dining Table from her place she told a story about how she is recently divorced and even if this table is new she just need to let go to give way to a bigger table. Sad.

Of course, If you know me very well you will know that I will paint it the minute it touches my hand.

I painted it using Louis Blue x Old White by Annie Sloan.

After a year or two, with family visiting from time to time, I decided that I need a new and slightly bigger table. So I decided to make it a project and re-sell. Here’s the end product of a day’s work:

I used, Old White x Florence by Annie Sloan, stenciled using Royal Stencil Design (Chez Sheik Moroccan Wall Stencil) which I bought from my favorite place in Bristol, The Sea Rose Cottage.

My nephew, Ondrej took a video of me while I was on my zone. Check that out on my IG account, Beaucoup de Soleil for more photos and video of my creative journey.

On a different note, I am excited to be working on a new project. I’m helping my colleague upcycle her table which I think looks fab! I can’t wait to lay my hands on that beauty. There’s also a huge drawer that I just might consider working on for a previous client.

I had a sad news (which I need not elaborate for personal reasons) but I guess there is always a rainbow after a storm. Everything happens for a reason, sometimes we get frustrated with devastating blows but in the end, we know in our hearts that we should not question what the unseen mover of all decides, It’s for the best.

Keep smiling y’all! Life is good…
